Haviv’s resume reads like a history lesson of recent years on our troubled planet. From genocide to conflict, revolution and disaster, Haviv has captured more experience behind his lens than any individual resume should. For more than 20 years Haviv has published stories from the front lines of the world’s greatest triumphs and dishonors, all in hopes of opening eyes to the lives of others. He has the belief that his photography in partnership with the public can make an impact on the world, hopefully for the better. Themes dealing with the ideas of witness, evidence and the responsibility of the audience will be explored with work that document recent genocides, civil wars and United States military intervention around the world.
